The mission of the Foundation for Truth in the Affairs of Democracy is to challenge business, political or advocate interest groups who, for sound reasons, it suspects are promoting economically, scientifically, politically or culturally questionable perceptions to manipulate public opinion and achieve a public policy agenda concerning particular issues. It will do so with thorough historical, statistical, economic and scientific research conducted by people with real world business, political or professional experience joined with leading academic men and women in the field. It will publish such research fully referenced and annotated, usually with peer review, to create debate to seek the truths of issues. It will also raise popularly unrecognized issues, which for sound reasons, it believes need public attention.
