FTAD LOCATIONS
The main FTAD center will be in Dunkirk-Fredonia New York. From here the project web sites will be operated and this will be the base of the research staff. Dunkirk is an old harbor town on Lake Erie midway between Buffalo and Erie,PA. Fredonia is adjacent and is the home of the State University of New York College at Fredonia which we consider to be one of the jewels in the SUNY crown. It has the SUNY School of Music and Theater, which helps to provide a rich cultural life along with the nearby Chautauqua Institution. Also, there is an excellent communications program which has produced remarkable graduates. The college offers communication facilities which would be available for FTAD including a TV production studio. Dr Mueller is nearby in Jamestown, NY
The executive office will be in Hawley, Pennsylvania in driving distance of New York and Washington and convenient to NewarkLibertyAirport with connections everywhere. Gerry Balcar, Chief Executive Officer, Larry Hammond, Chief Financial Officer and Linda Deaver, Administrative Director will be there. Ted Marmor, living in New York City, is close by. Elinor Christiansen and Ron Forthofer both live near Denver. John Mucasey is in University Park, Florida. Professor Rice is in Oakland, CA.
In Washington there will be a third location headed by Paul Skrabut, Executive Vice President. From this office relations with other organizations involved in the issues will be nurtured. Media contacts will be made, questions answered, and appearances and debates arranged. Contacts will be undertaken with Senators and personal and committee staff and Members of Congress and their personal and committee staff and with the staffs of executive agencies and the political parties.
